Digitest 3 – Pulp vitality Tester
Most pulp viability tests go directly from "no reaction" to a jolt of pain. Parkell's new Digitest 3 avoids patient discomfort. Instead of a constant current, Digitest 3's stimulus is an oscillating pulse. A vital tooth experiences this stimulus at a level far below the pain threshold. Digitest 3 increases the stimulus gradually, without sudden peaks that can cause a sudden painful response. Comparing the response to the stimulus of the suspected tooth with a known healthy tooth’s response to an identical stimulus can help you hone in on the source of the patient’s pain. With Digitest3 the vitality of the tooth can be measured over time by comparing the results obtained in successive controls.
• Intuitive single button operation
• Three test settings to accommodate your personal preference
• Ergonomic design
• Four autoclavable probes (included) promote easy access to all tooth surfaces
• Standard 9V battery enables simple in-office replacement
